LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders, Babar Ghauri and Muhammad Anwar on Wednesday met with Pakistani High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Syed Ibne Abbas here at the Pakistan High Commission.

Highly placed sources told our correspondent that the prevailing situation in connection with MQM in Pakistan as well as in the UK was discussed in the meeting.

MQM leadership has expressed its reservations on the ongoing operation in Karachi by law enforcement agencies, calling it biased and directed at the party in a bid to push it against the wall.

The party leadership is also facing court cases including money laundering, hate speech and murder of one of its founding members Dr Imran Farooq in the UK also.
