VEHARI: A woman was badly injured on Wednesday after some ‘influential persons’ unleash dogs on her for seeking whereabouts of her 12-year-old daughter, who she claims kidnapped two years ago.

The widow, resident of a village near Vehari district of Punjab province, said her daughter was kidnapped by the same influential people.

She said that police was also not taking any steps against the people for the recovery of her daughter.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident after the report aired on Geo News and directed to arrest the culprits at the earliest.

He also directed the DPO to submit a probe report of the matter.
