Gone are the days when media was snubbed: Pervaiz Rashid

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister, Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that politics and journalism have entered into an era where there is rule of law, Geo News reported Saturday.

Addressing a ceremony of Photo Journalists Association here, the Information Minister said: “Gone are the days when freedom of media was snubbed”.

He said Pakistan is recognized as civilized and democratic state today, adding that the society, state and political parties had transformed themselves after learning lesson from the past.

The minister said it was admirable that the affectees of the current situation were following the law and constitution, and contacted Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA). He welcomed the submission of plea as per the constitution.
