KARACHI: Reacting over the arrest of former minister Dr Asim Hussain, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Friday said being his subordinate, the Director General Rangers should have informed him beforehand about the action.
Talking to media, he said he had contacted Karachi Corps Commander and the DG Rangers over the arrest of Dr Asim, but was told that the paramilitary force has got evidence against the former petroleum minister.
The chief minister seemed to be unhappy with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) too, accusing the agency of seizing a huge number of files during its raids.
He said the FIA was not authorised to interfere with provincial matters. Shah said no inquiry was held despite Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's assurances into the grievances of the Sindh government.
