BIRMINGHAM: Pakistani pacer Wahab Riaz was taken to hospital after he developed a foot injury during the Champion Trophy match against India here on Sunday.
Wahab gave away 87 runs in 8.4 overs in Sunday's match against arch-rival India. He, however, could not bowl after having twisted his foot in his 9th over.
The Pakistani pacer had to leave the game before completing the over, after which he was taken to hospital.
He left for the hospital walking with the help of crutches, where he was to undergo X-ray tests.
