LONDON: Hasan Ali, the leading wicket-taker in the Champions Trophy final, has dedicated his brilliant performance in the tournament to his family.

"I have dedicated all my performances to my brother, parents, and family," Ali told Geo.tv in an exclusive interview following Pakistan's win in the Champions Trophy final against India.

The Golden Ball winner said it was his goal to become the best bowler after Pakistan's tour of West Indies and noted his most memorable wicket was that of England skipper in the semi-final.

"The best wicket for me was that of [England's skipper], Eoin Morgan, since my father wanted me to dismiss him as he was the inform batsman for England."

Hasan Ali also answered his critics who said he was not capable of performing on the international stage after playing in the PSL the past two years. "When I came to the PSL, I knew I could play well," he said.

When asked about his unique celebration, the fast bowler replied that it was like an explosion and he wanted to do something to entertain fans. He also spoke about his passion for another sport besides cricket, revealing to this scribe that he had a knack for kabaddi and that he rather enjoyed playing it.

Ali stressed that he wanted to maintain his performance level leading up to the 2019 World Cup and continue playing well for Pakistan.
