Political heavyweights including former prime minister and PPP leader Yousuf Raza Gillani will contest elections from NA-148 (Multan-1) constituency. In the 2018 elections, PTI’s Ahmed Hussain Dher clinched NA-148 seat, previously known as NA-154, while independent candidate Sikander Hayat Bosan came third with 37,216 votes. In the 2024 general elections, PTI-backed Taimur Altaf Malik will face off against Gillani in the NA-148 contest.
