PM nominates Sanaullah Zehri as next CM Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has nominated Pakistan Muslim League-N member Sanaullah Zehri as next chief minister of Balochistan in line with the Murree agreement.

Under the Murree agreement, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch of Balochistan National Party was to serve as CM Balochistan till December 4, 2015 and after this date the PML-N would nominate its chief minister for the province for the rest of two-and-a-half-year term.

A high-level meeting under the chairmanship of PM Nawaz Sharif was held here in which several significant decisions were made.

The PM said Balochistan was very close to his heart and hoped the new CM will ensure maintenance of order and peace in the province.

“The federal government will extend every possible cooperation to the provincial government for Balochistan’s development,” the Premier pledged.
