KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi, Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar said on Friday that the Rangers will continue its efforts to protect the citizens of the metropolis against terrorism adding that the role of the paramilitary force in curbing terrorism in the city has proven to be the backbone of the operation against terrorists.
The Corps Commander expressed his views while addressing officers and jawans who took part in operations to rid the city of terrorism, at the Rangers Headquarters in Karachi.
General Mukhtar added that only through the special powers granted to the Rangers can peace prevail in the city. Uncertainty only empowers the criminals, he added.
