Groom, bride among six killed in Sukkur road accident

SUKKUR: Six people including groom and bride were killed in a road accident near City Bypass, Sukkur.

Rescue sources said three women and a child were also among those killed in the head-on collision between a Karachi-bound passenger coach and a car.

The coach driver managed to flee after the incident.

The victims are identified as groom Usman, bride Bushra, Kiran, Huma, Sawera and a child whose identity could not be ascertained while young man Adnan sustained injuries.

All the victims were residents of Sukkur Township area and were returning home from a wedding ceremony.

Police said the passengers of the coach were shifted to an alternate bus for Karachi.
