GARHI KHUDA BAKHSH: Lashing out at Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Sunday said the former wants to conquer the province, adding that one man cannot overrule the Sindh Assembly resolution over special powers of Rangers.
Speaking to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) workers and supporter on the 8th death anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto here, Shah said he had warned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif about ‘this person’ (Chaudhry Nisar).
“I asked the prime minister to keep a check on his ministers, specially Chaudhry Nisar, who wants to conquer Sindh.”
The CM Sindh said peace has been restored in the province and urged the interior minister to focus on other provinces. He said just one institution should not be credited for peace in Sindh, in an apparent reference to Rangers paramilitary force.
Peace in Sindh was not possible without the help of people of the province, he added.
Qaim Ali Shah said his government’s unconditional cooperation to the army chief and the prime minister must not be considered its weakness. He warned the two against taking advantage of Sindh government’s support.
