ATC awards death sentence to cop for killing Daska Bar president 

GUJRANWALA: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday sentenced former SHO Shahzad Warraich to death four times for murdering Daska Bar president Rana Khalid Abbas and Advocate Irfan Chauhan.

The court also awarded 30-year jail term to the convict for inflicting wounds to five other lawyers.

The hearing of Daska murder case was conducted by the special ATC Judge Chaudhry Imtiaz.

The judge also ordered Shahzad Warraich to pay Rs400,000 to the victims’ family.

Daska murder case pertains to the firing incident in the remits of Daska police station on May 25, 2015 in which president Das Bar Khalid Abbas and an advocate were gunned down while five other lawyers were injured.
