LONDON: The authorities in Switzerland have turned down a political asylum request by self-exiled Baloch leader Brahamdagh Bugti, sources told Geo News on Friday.
The Swiss immigration authorities rejected the asylum application filed by Brahamdagh citing Pakistan government’s decision of declaring him a terrorist. The Baloch leader however has been given the right to file an appeal against the decision.
Pakistan had declared Brahamdagh Bugti-led Baloch Republican Army (BRA) as a terrorist organisation.
Late Nawab Akbar Bugti’s grandson Brahamdagh Bugti fled to Switzerland in 2010 and has been living there ever since.
