KP govt announces three-day mourning following Charsadda terrorist attack

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhunkhwa government on Wednesday announced three days of mourning across the province following the deadly terrorist attack on the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda in which at least 20 people were martyred.

The national flag will fly at half-mast at all government buildings across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next three days, announced the provincial government.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan visited the Bacha Khan University and District Headquarters Hospital in Charsadda following the attack.

"Strongly condemn cowardly terrorist attack on Bacha Khan Uni Charsadda today. The nation stands united & resolute against terrorism," said Khan, whose party leads the provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Khan appreciated the police, Army and citizens for "their efforts to avert a bigger loss".
