NEW DELHI: The Pakistan High Commission in India on Tuesday refuted reports in the Indian media that actor Anupam Kher has been denied visa to attend a literary festival in Karachi.
Kher had told an Indian TV channel that he was singled out of the 18 delegates who applied for visa to attend the festival.
“I am very sad and disappointed that out of 18 participants, 17 were given visa and I was denied,” Kher had claimed in the interview.
But, reacting to the reports today, the Pakistan High Commission denied that Kher’s visa application was rejected, saying that the actor never submitted an application for visa.
