PESHAWAR: Polling for by-elections in 23 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the vacant seats of Local Government has been concluded on Sunday.
The elections could not be held earlier and had to be put off in the wake of a terrorist attack on the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda.
Elaborate security measures have been adopted across the 23 districts with polling underway.
Special arrangements have been made for the senior citizens, special persons and women at polling stations.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan has established a Control Room in Islamabad to monitor the LG by-elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
