FAISALABAD: Armed with sticks power loom workers of the city demanded that factory owners hire more workers.
Their protest outside the DCO office reached its fifth day on Friday.
On Thursday, the protesting women vandalized the DCO office hitting at doors with sticks, demanding that the authorities listen to them.
Power looms have remained closed for the last few weeks following a row between the owners and workers. Their refusal to clean the machinery and other equipment everyday is stated to be the reason for the clash.
