FAISaLABAD: Armed robbers took away Rs 2.3 million from a bank on Tuesday after they held its security guards hostage.
According to reports, four armed robbers opened fire at a bank situated at Sarghoda Road and held three security guards hostage as they looted the bank.
Police said the security guards were untrained. “One of them rode a horse carriage, and the other was a shopkeeper,” SSP Operations Irfanullah said.
Police said they will investigate the security lapse on the part of the bank.
