MULTAN: Polling at NA153 Jalalpur is underway and will continue till 5pm today.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Deewan Ashiq was deseated from the constituency after his degree was declared fake by the Supreme Court in January this year.
Aashiq had claimed to have done his Masters in political science from Shah Abdul Latif University Khaipur in 2005 but failed to provide documents to prove it.
All major political parties are flexing their candidates for the seat. Rana Qasim Noon from PML-N, Ghulam Abbas from PTI and Akram Kihoon from PPP are in the race for the seat along with 10 other candidates.
