RAWALPINDI: Security forces successfully carried out an intelligence-based operation in Diamer district of Gilgit Baltistan on Thursday, killing three terrorists in the shout-out.
According to a press release from ISPR, the military public relations wing, two security forces personnel were also martyred in the exchange of gunfire with terrorists in Tarel valley in village Gayyal near Chilas area of Diamer.
The terrorists were involved in attacks on civilian transportation, tourists and security forces on the Karakoram Highway. According to the ISPR, a cordon and search operation was launched in the area following the shout-out.
5 terrorists killed in overnight operation in Khyber
On Wednesday night, five terrorists were killed in exchange of fire with security forces in Darmu Drab Pass area of Khyber agency, the ISPR said today.
The terrorists attempted to fire at a security forces check post but troops valiantly responded and foiled their attempt, said the ISPR.
The bodies of the terrorist in custody of security forces is being handed over to the political administration, said the statement.
