RAHIM YAR KHNA: Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday accused the Nawaz-government of neglecting south Punjab and held it responsible for miseries of farmers of the country.
Speaking at a rally, the PPP chairman said sugar mills were getting subsidy worth billions of rupees but there was no subsidy for growers.
He said Pakistan’s exports were decreasing each year due to declining agriculture and policies of the government.
“Mian Sahib deprived the farmers of a better future. Mian Sahib cares more for Indian farmers than Pakistanis.
He said farmers were being punished by Nawaz Sharif as they were adored by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
He said the PPP struggled for elimination of poverty and deprivation of South Punjab. “We got the first prime minister of South Punjab elected but then our prime minister was removed through under a conspiracy” he said.
