KARACHI: Former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali claimed that former President Gen (rtd) Pervez Musharraf had pledged with US to send Pakistani military contingent for Iraq attack, Geo News reported Wednesday.
Talking to Geo News in a television interview with senior analyst and anchorperson Iftikhar Ahmed, the former premier unfolded that he brought the matter relating Dr Aafia’s abduction to former president’s knowledge; but, he advised him to stay silent.
It should be mentioned here that Pervez Musharraf, announcing his All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) in London some days back, gave impression that he was absolutely unaware of Dr Aafia’s matter.
Former premier Jamali told he realized on opposing Musharraf’s decision regarding sending troops to Iraq, that his time for going home was near.
