Pakistan DGMO records protest over LoC violation

RAWALPINDI: A hotline contact between director generals of military operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India was established in the backdrop of ceasefire violation at the Line of Control (LoC) by Indian Army on the night between Saturday and Sunday.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), issues related to the subject of ceasefire violation across the line of control were discussed during the contact.

Pakistani DGMO protested against the unprovoked initiation of fire by Indian troops along LOC.

According to the ISPR, the heavy shelling in Neza Pir sector started at 1140 PM last night, continuing for hours and lasting until almost 5:00 AM early this morning.

The Indian guns were silenced after "Pakistan Army troops befittingly responded to Indian unprovoked firing and shelling,” said the ISPR statement.

However, no loss of life was reported in the exchange of gunfire.
