Sindh Home minister met Dr Asim with special message from Zardari

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal met Dr Asim Hussain late Saturday night with a special message from former President Asif Ali Zardari.

The meeting which spanned over two and a half hours took place at the special ward at Jinnah Hospital, sources said.

Siyal told Dr Asim that Zardari had asked him to stay calm and directed him to stay in constant touch with senior Pakistan Peoples’ Party leaders.

Zardari and Dr Asim are childhood friends. In an exclusive interview with Geo News Zardari had said, “I called him ‘hare’. I was the one who motivated him to leave Nazimabad and shift to Defence. His arrest is only a tactic to pressurize the PPP.”

Dr Asim is being tried for assisting terrorists and corruption.
