FAISALABAD: A training session is underway to teach women how to ride motorbikes.
The state sponsored initiative will train women, provide them licenses and also give them motorbikes.
So far 105 women have registered for the programme.
The women will first be taught the delicate art of balancing on two wheels through bicycles. After that they will be trained to ride motorbikes.
In January this year, a batch of 60 girls completed their training of riding motorcycles under Punjab Government’s Women on Wheels program and took out a bike rally.
The campaign was hailed by rights activists and women parliamentarians.
