Speeding car kills two men on motorbike near Lahore’s Fortress Stadium

LAHORE:  An FIR was registered under Section 322 against the driver of a speeding vehicle on Saturday, which killed two men on a motorbike near Fortress Stadium.

According to the CCTV footage, an overspeeding vehicle near Mian Mir bridge overtook to an opposite lane and crashed into a motorbike, killing two youths named Zamman and Abdullah on the spot. Following the accident, people rushed to the spot and handed over the driver named Ibrahim, along with a girl who was also in the car to the police. Police sources said that the girl is a daughter of an industrialist.

An FIR was filed under the request of Abdullah’s brother against the car driver. Police initiated investigation regarding the accident and the car was also taken into custody.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and demanded an inquiry report on the accident.
