Sonakshi to play Pakistani journalist in upcoming movie

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is all set to play a Pakistani journalist in an upcoming movie.

The movie is based on the chick lit 'Karachi you're killing me' by journalist Saba Imtiaz.

According to Indian media reports, the rights for the adaptation have already been reserved by a leading production house and the film will be directed by debutant Sunhil Sippy. Sonakshi will be essaying the role of a Karachi-based journalist and as per media reports, the actress has said yes to the film.

The role will be a challenge for Sonakshi who unlike her contemporaries; Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, plays similar and safe role.

The novel is based on the life of Ayesha Khan, a journalist in Karachi with a modern view towards life. She finds herself confronting the orthodox values of the city every day.
