Govt to wait for SC decision on opposition's ToRs

ISLAMABAD: The government will wait for a decision by the Supreme Court over the issue of the terms of reference (ToR) submitted by the opposition which lay down conditions for a commission which will probe allegations on the prime minister over his family’s involvement in offshore companies named in the Panama Papers.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting where members gathered to discuss the ToRs, which the government had earlier declared unconstitutional, sources told Geo News.

In attendance were Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and senior leader Zahid Hamid, sources said.

The government is likely to write a reply to the opposition today.
