A Pakistan People’s Party leader joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Friday.
A jiyala for 35 years Raja Riaz said that he was being cornered by the party leadership.
“I stood with the party in their good and bad times but now I am being pushed against the wall,” he said.
Speaking to Geo News Riaz said that PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had tried to reconcile matters but failed to do so.
He said that PTI chief Imran Khan had welcomed him into the party.
Riaz served as leader of opposition in the Punjab Assembly and minister for irrigation and mining.
Senior PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi also left the PPP to join PTI in 2011.
