SARGODHA: Students at Kothian Amirchand village have been forced to take classes at nearby fields in the absence of a school building.
Residents claim that though land was sanctioned for a school building 36 years ago, its construction has still not begun.
As a result students are forced to take classes at fields where they complain sometimes animals interrupt lectures.
A school child shoos away a cow which interrupts class- Geo NewsWhen contacted the education department said that they had notified the government over the issue but it had not released funds yet. “We have written a letter to the education department. Construction will begin as soon as funds are released,” an education department official said.
While the government has failed to construct a building it has appointed three teachers who perform duties under the open sky come rain or shine.
