WASHINGTON: The United States and its allies targeted Islamic State militants in Iraq with 17 strikes on Friday and five in Syria, the US military said on Saturday.
Four of the strikes in Iraq were near Ar Rutbah, hitting a Daesh (Islamic State) tactical unit and staging facility.
In Syria, four strikes hit four Daesh (Islamic State) tactical units near Mar'a.
