Ch. Nisar says appointment of NAB chief highly controversial

ISLAMABAD: Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly said the appointment of former Justice Deedar Hussain Shah as chief of top accountability authority of country was just as deploying a lion to guard a goat, Geo News reported.

We are in a consultation process to decide as to whether challenge the appointment at party level or at individual, he said. Addressing a press conference here today he said, the government was inching towards point of no return and it may not survive more than two - three months.

He noted that options for an in-house change were available and supported any such change even in Punjab. Commenting on impeachment of President Asif Zardari, he said time has not come yet for this.

He said Deedar Hussain was PPP’s man and Nawaz Sharif had never said a word in praise about him. Opposition leader also suggested the government to implement court verdicts.
