CHARSADDA: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said the appointment of the chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was not a constitutional issue but an administrative matter instead, Geo News reported Tuesday.
Addressing the ceremony held here in connection with Benazir Income Support Program and Watan Card, he said, ‘How mid-term elections could be held when local bodies elections are not being held.’
Terrorism is the biggest evil in the country and the law and order situation has stemmed the foreign investment, the PM Gilani stressed.
Gilani noted, ‘We will not allow the humiliation of the public mandate and the change will route through people.’
The Prime Minister remarked the government had not come into powers from the backdoors, adding, ‘Nawaz Sharif’s government was abolished in 1999 and we condemn it.’
The drone attacks in Fata are further exacerbating the situation and the government will talk it over with the US, he added.
