MULTAN: Scores of flood-hit people staged a protest demonstration and encircled the Jalalpur Pirwala TMA office for not considering their villages for issuing Watan Cards.
A number of flood affectees from villages Durabpur and Narrol gathered in front of the office and chanted slogans against tehsil authorities.
The protestors also protested in front of the DDO-R office and blocked Shujabad Road which caused trouble to passengers.
City police reached the site and dispersed the protestors after successful talks.
The protestors demanded authorities include their villages in the list as ferocious floods had badly damaged their homes.
According to sources, city police in a letter to the CPO Multanin formed him about the protest and also suggested a review of Watan Card lists.
