RAWALPINDI: Top brass of the military and politicians on Tuesday attended a meeting at the Pakistan Army General Headquarters.
The meeting where the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and DG ISI were in attendance was called to discuss the security situation of the country, a source said.
Defense Minister Khwaja Asif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Adivsor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry also attended the meeting.
During the meeting a US drone attack which killed Taliban leader Mullah Mansour in Balochistan was condemned, an ISPR statement said.
The drone strike affected Pakistan’s ties with the United States as well as its sovereignty, the statement added.
The Afghan reconciliation process had been impacted in a negative way due to the drone strike on May 21, the statement said.
The members of the meeting condemned operations of foreign spy agencies in the country.
