Unknown men in Multan throw acid on sleeping family and flee

MULTAN: Unknown men scalded an entire family after they broke into their house and poured acid on them.

The incident occurred late on Thursday night when the family was sleeping. The victims include husband Shahid, his wife, and two daughters; two-year-old Alishba and one-year-old Zehra.

The injured family has been shifted to Tehsil Headquarter Shujabad.

Shahid and his daughters were released after first aid. However Shahid’s wife after suffering 50 percent burn injuries has been shifted to the Burn Unit, hospital sources said.

An FIR has been registered at City Police Station Shujabad against two unknown persons. In a statement recorded to the police the victim family said that it did not have any enmity with anyone.
