Orange Line Bus Project inaugurated in Karachi, residents protest

KARACHI: Residents of Orangi town staged a protest as chief minster Qaim Ali Shah who was there to inaugurate the Orange Line Bus Project left without listening to their complaints.

The people who had gathered at a tent where the launch ceremony took place complained that they had not had water for years, there was no maternity hospital and that there are no sewerage lines.

Chief minster Sindh was in Orangi town for the inauguration of the Orange Line Bus project.

The Orange Line bus will run from TMA Chowk Orangi Town till the Matric board office in North Nazimabad.

The 47 kilometer track is expected to be completed in a year at an estimated cost of Rs1.45 billion.
