Female voice impersonator involved in kidnapping of 56 people arrested in Ghotki

GHOTKI: Police arrested on Sunday a man who deceived and kidnapped for ransom 56 people by impersonating a woman’s voice in Sindh’s Ghotki district.
The suspect identified as Rajab Shar would mimic different types of female voices and duped several people.
According to SSP Masood Bangash, the suspect after deceiving 56 people kidnapped them and demanded heavy ransom in return.
Police said that above 300 similar incidents have occurred in the district in which mobile phones were used by suspects impersonating female voice.
The suspect has cases registered against him in different areas of Kashmor and Ghotki.
A request had been made to have five million prize-money for the suspect’s arrest.
During the operation spanning over a month and a half, eight absconding dacoits, 31 defamed dacoits, and 562 in hiding absconders were arrested.
