Bilawal takes another jab at 'Nakaam League'

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday took a jab at the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for the overtures its ministers have been making in the wake of Panama Leaks controversy.

The PPP chairman shared a picture of a meeting between PPP stalwart Khursheed Shah and information minister Pervaiz Rashid that shows latter touching former’s knee with a caption “they touch your feet when in trouble, and grab you by the throat the moment they are out of that trouble”

Bilawal shared the picture with his 1.35 million followers on micro blogging website Twitter.

The outspoken PPP chairman ended his tweet with hashtag NakaamLeague, a reference to the ruling party the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

The PML-N has been facing immense pressure since the Panama Papers revelation about offshore business interests of ruling family.

The controversy brought the PPP and the PTI closer as both the opposition parties demanded through inquiry into the revelations, with the latter threatening to mount a long march on Raiwind, the hometown of Sharifs.

The opposition and the government have so far been unable to hammer out consensus on terms of references (ToRs) for the proposed judicial commission that is to probe the offshore business interests of Pakistanis.
