I have always been curious about Chile due to its shape and location on the globe. To me it was an underdeveloped and poorly connected country with lots of illiterate people, living a wretched life. But on October 13 I was mesmerised by what I saw on the TV. It was a miraculous deed being performed not by any superpower of the world but by the people of a poor country, Chile. The miners who had been trapped underground for the last 69 days were being evacuated in a very unique way, which was totally new to me at least. I salute the brave people of Chile, their president and other government officials who performed a live miracle. Bravo, Chileans, you changed my opinion about your country forever.
