Ban on pillion riding lifted
HYDERABAD: Two-year long ban on pillion riding has been removed today by the Sindh government, Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulifqar Mirza announced here today.

He said that the Police and the Rangers can supervise a by-election in Karachi. The minister was addressing a press conference here at Circuit House Hyderabad after a meeting of PPP activists.

Home minister told media persons that 34 terrorists involved in targeted killing and more than 200 suicide attacks planners were arrested in 2010.

He pointed out that more than one million foreigners were living in Karachi.

The PPP leader was of the view that MQM was the senior most ally and curbing violence was the responsibility of all.

The Election Commission's request for Army deployment during polling has been sent to the Army Headquarters and if EC wanted the Army to supervise polling it should review the situation and request for it.
