Three alleged robbers gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI: At least two alleged robbers were killed by unknown men at Urdu Bazaar, Nazimabad.

Police said that the alleged robbers were coming towards a shop with the intention of a robbery when they were shot dead.

DIG West Zulfiqar Larak said that two different statements had come forward about the incident. In the first a shopkeeper shot dead the two men. In the second statement unidentified men in a car opened fire at the men.

Police has confiscated the weapon and motor bike of the alleged robber and begun an investigation into the issue.

In a separate incident an alleged robber was shot dead by police during a shootout at Safoora. His accomplice fled, police said.

SSP Rao Anwar said that the alleged robbers were looting citizens. A policeman was injured when the alleged terrorists opened fired at the police. Weapons and a snatched motorbike were recovered from them.
