Deepika's upcoming movie makes her highest paid Bollywood actress

Deepika Padukone has become the highest paid actress in Bollywood after she charged a whopping Rs 12 crore for her upcoming movie.

The amount makes her the first female actress to break the Rs10 crore mark. In an industry where female actresses have often complained of not being paid as much as their male colleagues, Deepika has become a beacon of hope.

Deepika will be starring in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati.

The actress in her first Hollywood debut is starring next to Vin Diesel in XXX: The Return of Xander Cage.

She has grown as an actress over the years. According to reports in the media she got Rs1 crore for Ram-Leela, for Bajirao Mastani which came two years later Rs 7 crore and this time its Rs 12.62 crore for her upcoming movie.

In 2015 after Tanu Wed Manu Returns Kangana Ranaut said she received over Rs11 crore for her movie, but the claim could not be verified.
