ISLAMABAD: President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani on Thursday called Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and conveyed his condolences on the loss of innocent lives in the Quetta tragedy.
During the telephonic conversation with the Prime Minister, the Afghan President condemned the act of terror in the strongest terms.
He said that terrorism is a common threat for both nations and we will eliminate it with joint efforts, a statement issued from the PM s Office here said.
The call from Afghan President comes in the wake of two attacks in Quetta within a week, claiming the lives of dozens of people.
Earlier today, at least 13 people including a policeman were injured in a remote-controlled bomb blast near Saryab Flyover.
On Monday, 72 people were killed and 122 injured in a suicide blast at the Quetta Civil Hospital.
