LAHORE: Authorities sealed a private school in Johar Town which had been constructed at a non-commercial plot of land.
Officials of the Lahore Development Authority sealed the school while students and teachers were inside.
LDA officials said that the school had failed to pay commercial fees.
In the absence of planned amenity plots for schools in big cities ‘bungalow’ schools in residential areas have propped up causing traffic jams.
Citizens have often complained of the menace caused by these schools.
School authorities however argue that the government has failed to provide them with amenity plots where such structures like schools and hospitals are constructed.
In the presence of a strong demand for private education, school owners claim they have no choice but open schools in residential areas.
