SIALKOT: Police on Wednesday was able to track down father of a 12-year-old child who had been left on the streets to fend for himself by his parents.
Earlier today residents of Pul Aik found an abandoned child Ali and brought him to the Neka Pura police station.
Police began to search for the child’s parents. Initial reports suggested that the child’s parents were residents of Shaheenabad in Gujranwala. When police reached their residence they found it locked.
Later during the day police tracked down Javed, the boy’s father in Gujranwala.
Javed had married twice, and Ali was born from his first marriage, police said. He had left Ali in Sialkot to work in a factory.
Police added that Ali had run away from his house twice in the past. He has lived in the child protection bureau twice.
