Umar Akmal expressed regret over behaviour: Shahryar Khan

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has cleared batsman Umar Akmal for selection future cricket series. 

Speaking to the media PCB chairman Shahryar Khan said Umer Akmal had expressed regret over his behaviour and assured there would be no further disciplinary violations.

Khan added that the team’s management had been informed that Akmal could be selected. The PCB chairman further said he had called Akmal for a meeting and would do the same with Ahmed Shahzad.

Speaking to Geo News, Akmal said he was given confidence by the PCB chairman during their meeting. Akmal maintained that he had not done anything but stated that he had promised the PCB chairman that there would be no further violations.
