KARACHI: Pakistan’s flamboyant all-rounder and former captain Shahid Afridi underwent precautionary MRI scans in Lahore after feeling pain in his knee.

The former captain confirmed to Geo News that he was feeling pain in his right knee since he returned home from UK and went to get precautionary scans ahead of national T20 tournament.

“I am firm to play the T20 tournament, and I hope I’ll be able to recover from pain in time,” said Afridi

“I wanted to have precautionary scans due to pain and will soon receive the reports,” he added. 

Shahid Afridi was picked to represent Islamabad, to be led by Umar Gul, in the national T20 tournament, which commences on August 25th.
