MIRPURKHAS: Patients at the Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital do not have access to drinking water as the filter plant has been non-operational for several weeks.

This has become a great cause of concern for underprivileged patients and their families who are now being forced to buy bottled water or visit nearby restaurants to fill water bottles.

“It is the responsibility of the administration to provide water,” a patient’s family member told Geo News.

The hospital comprises 260 beds and on a daily basis 1,800 patients visit the OPD.

According to Civil Surgeon Dr Asghar, the concerned company has been informed of the water filter plant not working but there has been no reply. He added that efforts are underway to provide drinking water to patients.
