KARACHI: A woman died in a firing incident on Sunday in Karachi’s Lines Area.
The residents claimed that two motorcycle riding assailants tried to snatch the daughter of the woman and opened fire upon resistance.
Although DIG East Kamran Fazl said that the incident is not related to the kidnapping issue.
The woman was gunned down when her husband’s brothers were snatching money, police said.
Police said that the deceased woman has been identified as Aqeela.
Recently, reports of child kidnapping attempts surfaced in the city and created panic among parents. However, these reports were termed rumors by Police Chief Mushtaq Maher.
